The newest app release includes the following changes:
- Poor GPS Notification
From now on the app will inform users about poor GPS accuracy. Poor GPS can be caused due to environmental abstractions like tunnels and large buildings, damaged device or poor network carrier coverage area. Poor GPS influences the virtual taximeter calculations so it is important to ensure that devices always sends correct information to the server. In order to receive more accurate GPS coordinates the Wi-Fi should be always activated
You should contact your manager if you are constantly receiving poor GPS notifications, which indicates that device's GPS receiver is damaged and needs to be repaired or replaced.
- Driver App running in Background
App is now fully able to function in the background. Users will be able to freely use other features of the phone and apps without being set offline. A notification will appear in the top part of the screen when a new job is available for a driver to take. Please educate drivers that they should always set themselves offline at the end of their work. Otherwise, the system will keep dispatching bookings to the drivers, in an even where they do not accept two bookings in a row, the system will set them offline automatically. Bare in mind that driver behaviour score gets lower each time they miss a trip.
- New Alarm Call Gesture
To avoid situations where you initiate alarm call by mistake (previously by tapping anywhere 5 times), we have changed alarm call gesture. Now, you will have to tap with two fingers and hold for 4 seconds in order to start an alarm call. This change should greatly reduce number of false calls being made.
- Completing a Waypoint
You will now be able to see the number of waypoints a trip has and set each of them as completed. In addition to that, companies are now able to set waypoint fees - so for each completed waypoint a fee will be added to the total price of the trip.
