For security reasons we have a reservation process set for all new clients. Please note that once you have a handful of Drivr trips completed, this process ends as you become a trusted account.
Before every trip, a reservations is made on your credit card on file.
If the reservation on the card fails you will be notified that the booking failed. There can be many reasons for the failure. If your credit card fails, please try another card or contact your bank for further guidance
Once the booking goes through, you will see the reserved amount on your statement shown as pending. This charge will never go through, until the trip is completed and the correct fare is charged
If the trip is cancelled prior to completion, the reservation gets voided with our processor that day.
Depending on your bank, it could show in your statement as Pending any where from 3-30 days but will never go through. Our void of the charge happens the same day as the booking, so we unfortunately are not able to change the duration your bank holds onto these voids. But please let us know if the charges fail to go through within 30 days.
Once the booking is completed, the final fare is what will be charged to your card on file.
- If the final fare turns out to be less than the reservation, we will deduct the necessary amount and void the rest of the reservation. You might still see the voided amount as pending on your statement for some time.
- If the final fare turns out to be more than the reservation, we will cancel the preliminary reservation and charge the correct amount in a separate transaction.
